The Blue Ridge Mountains Council was formed on January 1, 1973 from the merger
of Blue Ridge Council #600 and Piedmont Area Council #594. The council is divided into eight districts and serves approximately 452 Units in 21 counties. The Blue Ridge Scout Reservation is located in Pulaski County, Virginia and is the largest Council owned reservation in the nation. Spanning 17,500 acres and two Scout Camps as well as the High Knoll Trail, the reservation is one of the most popular destinations for Scouts on the East Coast.
