A copy of a handwritten letter from E. Urner Goodman, co-founder of the Order of the Arrow, in the Conclave Booklet advised the Arrowmen of Section SE-1 “Undoubtedly you are making history since you are the first Section to form under the new Regional plan.”

A highlight of the Conclave was a live telephone conversation with Dr. Goodman during the Saturday noon meal. Goodman was attending a Conclave in Florida.

Virginia Lieutenant Governor John Dalton addressed the Arrowmen after the Saturday night dinner.

At the 1974 Conclave Kecoughtan Lodge won approval to host the Section’s first Indian Seminar, a concept initiated by members of their own dance team.

* Bruce Sanders vacated his position as SE-1 Chief to become Southeast Region Chief. Mike Kinzie of Kecoughtan Lodge 463 was appointed to replace him.
