1975 Blue Heron Lodge Fall Fellowship

This has always been one of my favorite Blue Heron activity patches since it mirrors the design of the iconic Blue Heron lodge flap. When that flap was originally issued in the late 50’s it was the first fully embroidered flap patch in the United States, and was highly sought after by OA collectors.

Today the original design remains the standard Lodge flap patch with the only noticeable change being the addition of a flour d’lis to comply with National regulations for Scout emblems.

Blue Heron’s Bruce Sanders was Chief of Section SE-1 in 1975, and then elected as Chief of the Southeast Region.
