2022 BSA Region and OA Section Changes

On December 28, 2021 the Order of the Arrow transitioned into a two region structure. More information about this change can be found on the Project Magellan page.
 
The Gateway Region of the Order of the Arrow serves lodges and sections on the western half of the United States including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Far East Council.
 
The Eastern Region of the Order of the Arrow serves lodges and sections on the eastern half of the United States as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Transatlantic Council.
 
The new Section identity for the six lodges headquartered in Virginia is E9, replacing SR-7A which was founded in 1998. SR7-A joins Area 3-A, Area 3-C, Section SE-1, Section SE-8, Sections SR-6 and 6B, and Section SR-7 as OA organizational entities the Virginia lodges previously belonged to.
 
The next Conclave of the Virginia Order of the Arrow lodges, to be hosted by Shenandoah Lodge 256 at Camp Swoope on April 29-May 1, 2022, will be the first Section E9 Conclave.
