Blue Heron issues Holiday Banquet chenille

Blue Heron Lodge 349 of Norfolk VA closed out their 2015 activities with a Holiday Banquet held Dec. 5 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. The theme for the Banquet was 100 Herons, A Centennial Celebration as the event recognized the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow, as well as the Arrowmen who have devoted significant service to the Lodge.
 
In commemoration of the event the Lodge issued a special limited edition chenille emblem which was sold for $20. This is the first chenille emblem from Blue Heron since 1996 when the Lodge celebrated their 50th anniversary with a chenille arrowhead (349 C2) and chenille lodge flap (349 C3). The 2015 Holiday Banquet chenille is 5″ in diameter, and only 50 were made.

 
Since the emblem was issued for the 2015 Holiday Banquet and the patch includes lettering to that effect it is anticipated that it will be cataloged as an activity issue (i.e., 349 eC2015-5).
