Back in February we shared artwork for the 40th Anniversary flap planned by Tutelo Lodge 161. This patch was issued in late April in time for the SR-7A Conclave, and as you can see in the picture above it came out beautifully and will be a nice item for Virginia OA collectors and traders.

The design by 2012 Lodge Chief Matthew Rosendahl incorporates totems of the two prior lodges that merged in 1973 to form Tutelo, Koo Koo Ku Hoo’s owl and the Chief of Powhatan Lodge. It also includes the iconic furnace of Camp Powhatan and the three arrow totem of Tutelo in the background, with a new 40th anniversary logo the lodge will use throughout their anniversary year. The design was selected from many entries by Lodge members, and featured in the October, 2012 edition of the Lodge’s newsletter, theTorchbearer.
