Blue Heron Lodge of Norfolk, VA has embarked upon a fundraising effort for repairs and maintenance for the Brian Gregson Center by issuing a set of four colorful patches. The set is comprised of matching 8″ and 4″ round patches picturing two blue herons in a daytime scene, with the second pair identically sized but with the herons pictured in a nighttime scene.

The patches were designed by Lodge Custodian Adviser Bill Stine, with 200 of each made. The jacket patches are $20 each, and the smaller patches $10 each, with the full set priced at $60.

The Gregson Center was dedicated at the 1996 Fall Fellowship during the Lodge’s 50th anniversary year. It houses the Lodge Museum and Welcome Center at Pipsico Scout Reservation, and is named in honor of the former Blue Heron Lodge Chief Brian Gregson, who was lost in a surfing accident in 1993.
