Shenandoah Lodge 258 of Stonewall Jackson Area Council in Waynesboro, VA was chartered in 1944, its name derived from the Council camp, Camp Shenandoah, which at the time was located on the banks of the north fork of the Shenandoah River.

In recognition of their 70th anniversary, the Lodge has issued a hexagonal chenille patch inspired by the design of its original jacket patch. The red felt patch has a blue chenille background for the sky and water, but uses standard embroidery for details like the lettering, Chief totem, arrow, and FDL.

This is the fourth chenille patch issued by Shenandoah Lodge. The first chenille was issued in 1990 in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow, with a red and white arrowhead design similar to the Lodge’s first felt emblem. The second chenille was a full color arrowhead issued in 1994 to honor the Lodge’s 50th anniversary. The third chenille featured an arrowhead design with American flag background, and was issued in 2002. You can view pictures of all the Shenandoah chenilles as well as other issues at oaimages.com
