New Tidewater Council set with Blue Heron flap

A new 3 piece patch set from Tidewater Council including a Lodge flap from Blue Heron 349 is now on sale in the Trading Post at the Council camp, Pipsico Scout Reservation. The set highlights the Sail Hampton Roads program at the Camp and includes a Tidewater Council shoulder patch and a Blue Heron 349 lodge flap with matching pocket piece.

The CSP and pocket piece include the lettering “Pipsico Scout Reservation” and “Sail Hampton Roads.” The matching Lodge flap includes the lodge name, number, and a gray Blue Heron on the sail of the boat that comprises the design of the flap and pocket piece.

At this point the classification of the Blue Heron flap is unclear since authorization by the Lodge Executive Committee has not been established.

Update 9/25/14: Blue Heron Lodge Advisor Jon Donat reports that the LEC has authorized the use of the Lodge’s name, number, and totem on the Sail Hampton Roads patch.
